FlashBash PCB Mods

The Original Flashbash Hardware schematic has been modified to take advantage of the ST72F264, firstly because of its IAP capability - being able to update the firmware via the serial port. Also the 264 has a Hardware SCI/UART rather than the software uart used on the 254.

Below is the instructions required to take advantage of using the 264 SCI/UART.

Pin No Old Function New Function
18 TX BUTTON
19 RX POWERON
20 BUTTON TX
22 POWERON RX

Updating is simply cutting the track to the current connection and wire linking the new connection.
Make sure the correct firmware is loaded into the micro after the firmware update.

At the moment there is no speed improvement by using the Hardware SCI/UART but its seems a shame not to use it as the 264 has one.

Note

The only other change is to the option bytes, please read options.txt for more info.
